Tom's painting "Dark Sun" won the Dorothy Grider Purchase Award at the USBank "Celebration of the Arts" at the Kentucky Museum, Western Kentucky University. The painting is now a part of the permanent collection of the Kentucky Museum.
"Dark Sun" ---- Sometimes the sun looks dark to us but even on the darkest of days God is there for us. The figure in the middle is a Deity figure and the other figures are created in His image.
